Molla said this during a discussion on possible ways of collaboration with a delegation from the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Aacci) led by its founder and executive director, GD Singh.

He explained Addis Ababa’s current efforts in digital transformation, innovation and sustainable technology solutions, areas he considers pillars of its growth strategy.

He added that his ministry prioritizes the development of a strong innovation ecosystem by stimulating start-ups, technology transfer, research and development.

He stressed the importance of strengthening the sector’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the African country remains at the forefront of technological development in the region, as well as collaborating with international organizations such as Aacci.

For his part, Singh noted that Ethiopia is making commendable progress in the field of innovation and technology, while expressing his desire to work together to support national efforts to achieve this goal.
