The mobilization, which will take place along the water wall in Havana, will denounce in front of the US Embassy the maintenance of the maximum pressure policy against Cuba, with harmful effects on the quality of life of the people and the development of the country.

Almost all of the draconian economic coercion measures imposed by the Republican government of Donald Trump (2017-2021) remain in force 30 days after Joe Biden leaves the White House.

Faced with this reality, Havana’s citizens, on behalf of the Cuban people, will demonstrate their support for the socialist direction of the Cuban revolutionary process. They will also express the will to defend the right to sovereignty, self-determination, and non-interference in Cuba’s internal affairs.

The Cuban president called for the rally during his speech at the closing of the 9th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, held on December 13th in the capital.
