“As for the murder of General Kirilov, it was committed in a dangerous way for the lives of many,” Putin said during a large press conference combined with a direct line with citizens, held this Thursday at the Gastinni Dvor in the Russian capital.
The leader of the Eurasian nation also noted that the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly committed crimes of this kind against many Russian citizens.
On December 17, Kirilov was killed as a result of an explosion outside his residence on Ryazansky Avenue in eastern Moscow.
The explosive device, with a power equivalent to 200 grams of TNT according to preliminary information, was placed on an electric scooter parked at the entrance of the building.
A criminal case was opened for murder, terrorist attack, illegal trafficking of arms and ammunition.
According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, the perpetrator of the bombing is a citizen of Uzbekistan, recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence who was promised 100 thousand dollars and residence in a country of the European Union.
Born on July 13, 1970, Kirilov gained a lot of media attention in recent years for repeatedly accusing Ukraine and the United States of preparing chemical and biological attacks.
