Russian security arrests the perpetrator of the attack in Moscow

Moscow, Dec 18 (Prensa Latina) The Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that it arrested the perpetrator of the attack that cost the life of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.

The FSB carried out a joint operation with the Ministry of the Interior and the Investigative Committee, during which it identified and arrested an Uzbek citizen who carried out the bomb attack on Tuesday in a residential building in Moscow, in which the head of the Russian radiation, chemical, and biological protection troops was killed.

According to the entity, the perpetrator of the attack confessed that he was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence, arrived in Moscow, received the explosive device, and installed it on an electric scooter left at the entrance of the residential building where Kirillov lived.

To Monitor the building, the culprit rented a car and installed a WiFi camera that sent video signals to Ukraine.

As Kirilov and his assistant left the building, the perpetrator activated the bomb remotely, the FSB said, and stressed that the Ukrainian intelligence officers involved in the terrorist attack against the Russian general and his assistant would be captured and brought to justice.

According to the statement, Ukrainian intelligence promised the perpetrator $100,000 and residence in a European Union country.

The perpetrator of the terrorist attack is facing life imprisonment, the FSB said.
