Cuban Parliament to debate issues on national agenda

Havana, Dec 16 (Prensa Latina) The Permanent Work Committees of the National People's Power Assembly (parliament) (ANPP in Spanish) will debate important issues of the national agenda, before the IV Ordinary Session of this body, in its 10th Legislature.

During two days, Deputies will address issues related to population and legislative solutions.

They will also discuss the transformation of science, technology, care, and innovation systems, and the 2025 economic plan, including estimates of the current year’s end.

The Fourth Ordinary Session of Parliament, in its 10th Legislature, will be held from December 18 to 20, also at the Palacio de Convenciones in Havana.

The ANPP is the supreme body of power of the Cuban State, and the only one with constitutional and legislative capacity; currently, it is integrated by 470 deputies, of whom more than 55% are women.

These are elected by free, direct, and secret electoral votes, in proportion and according to the procedure determined by law.
