The Albiceleste team received the vote of the Panama News Agency (ANP), and with that reached 16, thus distancing itself from the Cuban Baseball 5 team (12) and the Brazilian women’s beach volleyball team (2).

The ANP chose the female sprinter Julien Alfred, from Saint Lucia, and the male Jamaican discus thrower Roje Stone, both Olympic champions in Paris 2024.

These sections are led by representatives of Cuba, the Paralympic sprinter Omara Durand and the wrestler Mijaín López, respectively, the latter having received the most votes so far with 31 preferences, far behind his followers.

The voting period will be open until December 23, and the results will be announced a day later through a press conference.

The media, in all its forms – radio, television, print media, agencies, digital portals – may send their selections to the email deportes@prensa-latina.cu, from where the general vote will be compiled.
