A joint statement with the Ministry of Energy and Mines indicated that, in accordance with international prices of oil byproducts, the required adjustments will not be applied, so the local costs of gasoline and diesel will be maintained.
The text stressed that the measure supports Nicaraguan families and economic activities such as production and public transportation.
Regarding liquefied petroleum gas, the main fuel used here to cook, there will be no change in its price for the 10, 25 and 100 pound formats.
The press release referred to the permanent monitoring by the Government of President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo of the cost of crude oil in the world, and added that the corresponding actions and measures will be taken to mitigate the impact of the increase in such prices.
