Gomez said this as he wrapped up a visit to Uruguay, leading a delegation from his country’s Higher Education Ministry (MES), and after attending meetings convened by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Uruguayan Ministry of Education and Culture.
We participated in a meeting of ministers and high authorities of Latin America and the Caribbean to exchange experiences on policies for the sector, the Cuban official noted, adding that they also coordinated cooperation and assessed progress made in recognizing degrees, certifications, and diplomas.
He said Cuba founded, promoted, and signed an agreement on recognition, and hosted this committee’s meeting this year.
Gomez voiced support for measures that facilitate people’s mobility, as well as integration and cooperation projects.
In his view, the ministerial meeting held in Montevideo, at the headquarters of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), was a success. Ied/iff/mem/ool
