Twelve days free of gang-related killings so far this month indicate a course that could approach the 27 days free of homicides reached in October of this year and contribute to the country recording a homicide rate below two per 100,000 inhabitants, according to authorities.

Figures shared early this morning on its account in X by the National Civil Police (PNC) ensure that on Thursday, December 12 closed without deaths in the national territory due to actions attributable to gangs.

The official propaganda and the results of surveys added to the opinion of the population emphasize that the country is one of the safest in the Western Hemisphere for its fight against violence and other criminal actions.

For example, the day before, an organization consisting of at least 37 people engaged in human trafficking was broken up and, according to the Attorney General’s Office, was responsible for transporting victims to different areas of El Salvador and then transporting them illegally to the United States.

These actions of the security component are attributed to the guidance of President Bukele, about whom there is a supposed idolatry among many of his countrymen, to which pronouncements from abroad contribute.
