This point of view was presented to the press by the Minister of Productive Development and Plural Economy, Néstor Huanca, in a meeting with the president of this union, Jorge Amantegui, held this Thursday in La Paz.
During the discussion, it was confirmed the persistence of problems in the supply of oil in the domestic market, despite the commitment made by the industrialists on the 10th of this month.
The parties participating in the meeting agreed to hold permanent meetings in order to evaluate the supply situation and the suspension of the temporary export ban.
“(…) We have agreed (…) the industries should make a greater effort so that they can supply and quickly transfer this product to the market”, Huanca said. On Tuesday, the representatives of the oilseed industry committed to guarantee the “supply of oil to the domestic market in sufficient quantities to regularize the supply at a regulated price of up to 11 Bolivianos (US$1.57) per 900 milliliter bottle and 10 Bolivianos (US$1.42) per liter in bulk.”
