In the Paraguayan municipality of Carmelo Peralta, progress has been made in the assembly of the truss beams, which are support elements to improve the stability of the structure, while in Puerto Murtinho, a Brazilian territory, work is being done on raising pylon 14 and the final adjustments are being made to the D1 starting segment before concrete is poured.

Among the works already completed are the reinforced concrete structures of the access viaducts on both sides of the bridge, as well as the preparation for the access ramp on the Paraguayan side, which has a causeway protection.

The construction forces also receive the structures from the advance cars, specialized equipment that allows the precise placement of the sections that form the bridge deck.

The Bioceanic Route, considered a milestone in road infrastructure in Paraguay, will be more than 1,000 meters long and will link the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through Paraguay’s Chaco.

The new crossing, whose completion is scheduled fro the first half of 2026, will facilitate border traffic and speed up customs procedures, which will result in greater economic competitiveness in the region.
