It was decided to create the Joint National Action Committee as a unified Palestinian national reference in Syria, a statement issued after the meeting of all Palestinian parties said, including the Palestine Liberation Army, at the headquarters of the embassy of the State of Palestine in Damascus.

The statement confirmed support for the Syrian people in their right to self-determination and to build their independent national state throughout the national territory.

Those attending the meeting stressed the need to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between the Syrian and Palestinian peoples, and the union to confront Israel, the common enemy, which continues to commit atrocious crimes.

They expressed their strong condemnation of Tel Aviv’s broad and brutal aggression against Syria unleashed in recent days, and considered it a violation of the sovereignty of this Arab nation.

On the other hand, they assured that the Palestinian rallies and refugee camps will only support the Syrian people in forging their prosperous future.
