Leading key debates, presenting bold climate policies and hosting a dynamic pavilion during the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) held from November 11 to 22 in Baku was made possible thanks to this support, the source said.
The holder of the Ethiopian State Portfolio, Fitsum Assefa, presented recognitions to the United Nations Development Programme for sponsoring the delegates and the Embassy of Denmark in Addis Ababa for financing the pavilion and facilitating high-level engagements with world leaders.
Assefa also thanked the World Food Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the World Bank for supporting the participation of Ethiopian delegates and the Embassy of Azerbaijan for providing technical assistance and ensuring smooth logistics preparations.
The success of COP29 is a testament to the strength of the partnership. Together, we amplify Ethiopia’s voice, show our ambition and remind the world that collaboration is key to a sustainable future,” she said.
