Live reports broadcast by channel 4 of the Salvadoran Telecorporación (TCS) indicated that in the area near the Conchagua volcano and the Gulf of Fonseca (east) the population could perceive at least 100 tremors, the last at 04:00 local time, this Tuesday.
Figures from the MARN specified that there are several houses affected by this phenomenon that occurs at a depth of five kilometers where the earth moved with a tremor of 5.8 degrees of magnitude on the Richter scale on December 8.
Although the tremors decreased in recent hours in Onchagua, in the department of La Unión, where one of the country’s volcanoes is also located, the authorities have called on the population to remain alert.
