During a meeting with the heads of major international economic organizations in Beijing, who came for the “1+10” Dialogue, Xi stressed China’s willingness to promote stable and sustainable development of China-US relations.

The president suggested managing differences properly and reiterated that tariff, trade, and technology wars run counter to historical trends and the economy’s laws, so no winners arise from such conflicts.

Xi hoped that both countries could find some middle ground and confirmed China’s determination to promote high-level openness to the outside world.

He said, “China will always focus on managing its affairs well and safeguarding resolutely its sovereignty, security, and development interests.”
