During the gala, presided over by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, the graduates expressed their solidarity with this Middle Eastern nation in the face of the military onslaught by the Zionist Government of Israel.
Speaking on behalf of these young people, Cristian Albizu said that naming this 12th graduation of ISRI graduates “Free Palestine” is an act of justice with this country occupied and attacked for more than 75 years.
Rogelio Sierra, rector of the educational institution, expressed the certainty that those who join the foreign service today will worthily represent revolutionary diplomacy and defend the social work of the transformation process promoted by Cuba.
He stated that at the same time, they will honor the center that welcomed them and trained them free of charge without distinction of race, gender or social origin, and the commitment of its teachers.
Also present at the graduation ceremony were First Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Peñalver and the chargé d’affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in Havana, Majet Abualhawa, among other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of student and youth organizations.
