This was stated by Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Marian Jurečka at a meeting with Ethiopian Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente, the local state ministry reported.
Jurečka appreciated the ongoing development work in Ethiopia and expressed Prague’s willingness to cooperate in various areas of the agricultural line.
Amente, for his part, highlighted the main achievements in this economic sector, including the abundant production of wheat, the initiatives Basket Reward, aimed at food security, and Green Legacy, the latter considered the flagship program to combat the effects of climate change.
He stressed that Ethiopia is willing to work with the Czech Republic in the field of agricultural mechanization to improve productivity.
The foreign delegation visited the warehouses and was able to see the agricultural equipment, tractors and assembly centers of the Ethiopian Agricultural Business Corporation.
