The initiative will be implemented in 347 districts across 33 states and Union Territories to improve case detection, reduce delays in diagnosis, and improve treatment outcomes, particularly in high-risk groups.
The campaign underlines the commitment to eliminate the incidence of the disease by addressing the challenges of notification and mortality within the framework of the National Programme, established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, according to the institution.
It also represents another significant strategic effort in an attempt to strengthen programmatic activities and reduce disparities in tuberculosis outcomes in the various regions to end the disease in the country.
The 100-day campaign aims to improve the program’s performance on key outcome indicators such as tuberculosis incidence rates, diagnostic coverage, and mortality.
