The Sustainable Energy Sources for Aviation Strategy and the revision of the Abuja Air Navigation and Safety targets were approved during discussions.
The latter were established by African aviation ministers in 2012 to improve safety. They are based on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s global Aviation Safety and Air Navigation plans.
The African Energy Efficiency Strategy and the Continental Green Hydrogen Strategy have made strides in the energy sector, the source stated.
Ethiopia’s Transport and Logistics Minister Alemu Sime, in turn, chaired an online debate on Thursday, focused on the projects and proposals developed by experts to strengthen the infrastructure for these lines, the source revealed.
The minister affirmed that “Transportation and energy are not issues we take lightly; they are the backbone of our economy, driving businesses and supporting industrial growth.”
