The protocol on exchanging ratification documents of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty was signed in Moscow by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and DPRK Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jong-gyu, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website highlighted on Thursday.
KCNA informed on Wednesday that the treaty had come into force.
The text added that the implementation of the agreement will develop “multifaceted bilateral interaction” between the two countries and help stabilize “the construction of an indivisible security system in Northeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region in general.
The DPRK and the Russian Federation signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement on June 19 during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s official visit to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea.
