According to what was announced this Wednesday by the ambassador of the Caribbean nation in Tbilisi, concurrent from Baku, Carlos Valdés, the also president of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, sent a letter of congratulations to Papuashvili, upon being re-elected to occupy the position of leader of the parliament of Georgia.

In the message, Lazo emphasizes his conviction that the president of the Georgian legislative body will be successful in his mandate and will continue with the commitments made in order to strengthen the relations of friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation between both parliaments and peoples.

Valdés added that the letter reiterates the conviction that both parliamentary leaders will continue working to strengthen and deepen the relations of mutual understanding and cooperation between the legislatures and peoples of Cuba and Georgia.

Lazo also stressed in his letter that as presidents of both Parliaments, they are assisted in expressing the will of their peoples, who have historically lived in conditions of friendship, brotherhood and respect.

Finally, in his congratulatory message, the president of the Cuban legislature proposes to his Georgian counterpart to work together with the embassy of the Caribbean nation to guarantee the success and fluidity of interparliamentary relations.
