Ambassador Alberto Blanco said that during the event, he underlined the mutual support between Cuba and China in difficult times and the common history of defending socialism with its own characteristics.

As part of his speech, he stressed that the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) shares and makes its own the objectives of the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Community of Shared Future.

He highlighted the excellent relations with the Communist Party of China (CPC), expressed in political dialogue, mutual trust and cooperation in all spheres.

According to a post on X, within the framework of this forum, Blanco met with Liu Jianchao, head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The event was held under the motto “Uniting Forces of Political Parties to Build a Community of Shared Future for Humanity” and was attended by leaders of nearly 100 political parties from 30 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Also present at the meeting were authorities from the CPC Central Committee and prominent academics from China.

In his opening speech, Liu Jianchao stressed that the Party is committed to strengthening political dialogue with political organizations in LAC, fostering mutual strategic trust and jointly assuming a leading role in promoting relations between China and the region.
