In a report published in this capital, the UN food aid organization stressed that millions of people in Afghanistan are grappling with a food crisis, and a quarter of the country’s population is unable to access enough food to sustain their lives.
The WFP added that 680 million dollars in funding will be needed over the next six months to assist the most vulnerable families across this country.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Economy Ministry has acknowledged that the WFP’s assistance has been effective in reducing poverty in the country.
