Policemen in Haiti demand a salary increase

Port-au-Prince, Dec 3 (Prensa Latina) The National Police Union of Haiti (SPNH-17) maintained its demand for a salary increase, taking into account the dangers they face in the fight against gangs.

In its message released on its account of the social network X, the guild warned that if its demand is dismissed it will go to legal instances to enforce its demand.

We will do everything we can to force the authorities to recognize the sacrifices of our brave police officers.

The SPNH-17 demands from the high command and the government a stable salary commensurate with the high cost of living, which affects not only the civilian population, but also the uniformed ones who fight crime.

Previously, the guild demanded payment of back wages, provision of an expedited bank loan procedure, regular financing of their debit cards, negotiation of effective health insurance coverage and an equitable distribution of privileges.
