During her daily address in “citizens power” media, the vice president specified that the buses will serve Nicaraguan families on the intermunicipal routes from Managua to the Caribbean Coast, a promise made by President Daniel Ortega.
“Bluefields and Bilwi will receive large buses, and also minibuses and buses for 20-27 passengers, to renew interlocal transport from Managua to León, Chinandega, Carazo, Masaya and Granada,” she stressed.
In Murillo’s words, they serve the Nicaraguan people this way, adding that “we owe ourselves to this heroic, courageous people who are the presidents of our blessed Nicaragua.”
In June 2023, the Vice Minister of Transport of Nicaragua, Amaru Ramírez, and the representative of the Chinese company Yutong, Ariel Meng, signed an agreement for the acquisition of Chinese buses, whose first fleets arrived here in October and November of that year.
Managua and Beijing reestablished diplomatic relations in December 2021, and since then both nations have advocated strengthening trade and cooperation in all fields, especially in trade, transport, the scientific and technical area.
