Venezuela’s Minister of Tourism, Leticia Gomez, and Cuba’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Yamily Aldama Valdez, agreed to continue strengthening the sector by creating mechanisms to facilitate the integration and promotion of tourist routes by air, sea and land.
In turn, the Executive Secretary of ALBA, Jorge Arreaza, pointed out that tourism is a tool for integration and a mechanism to promote trade, profits and to boost the economy.
ALBA currently has 10 members (Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Nicaragua, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Venezuela) and three special guests (Syria, Haiti and Suriname), concluded Perelló’s report.
