The National News Agency reported that the outskirts of Maroun al-Ras were attacked by Israel’s machine gun fire near the Blue Line, a demarcation established by the United Nations.

According to the media outlet, explosions were heard this morning in the surroundings of Yaroun, Maroun al Ras and Marjayoun, in southern Lebanon.

At dawn, Israel’s artillery bombings reached the vicinity of Aytaroun and the north of Khiam.

The Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar reported that Merkava tanks were advancing from Tair Harfa to the eastern neighborhoods of Chamaa.

According to the newspaper, an Israeli airstrike targeted Yaroun early this morning, and artillery shelling hit the outskirts of Arnoun Al-Shaqif in the south.

The national channel Al-Manar reported that the Israeli Army continues to strike buildings in the eastern areas of the southern village of Khiam.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army reported the detonation in the afternoon of unexploded bombs from the remnants of Israel’s aggression in the areas of Zrarieh-Saida, and in the town of Jurd al-Taybeh, in the Bekaa region, in the east of the country.

France has warned Benjamin Netanyahu’s government against the possible collapse of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, and cited 52 violations by the Israeli Army so far, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

The report stressed that Israeli reconnaissance planes resumed their low-altitude flights over the airspace of Beirut.

Since the ceasefire came into effect on November 27, Israeli forces have attacked civilians, bombed southern towns and carried out air raids with drones and fighter jets, with the aim of stopping the return of Lebanese people to their homes before their withdrawal, which is limited to a period of 60 days.
