The review of the observed votes did not show significant changes compared to the primary count of the ballots.
The majority of the observed votes are from people who voted outside the circuits in which they are registered: mainly table officials, party observers, and military and police personnel.
Frente Amplio received one million 212,830 votes for 49.8 percent.
The Álvaro Delgado-Valeria Ripoll duo, from the National Party and with the support of parties from the Republican Coalition, obtained 1,119,537 votes (45.9 percent).
There were 39,542 blank ballots and 64,654 were annulled.
After the counting of the observed votes there were no surprises and the Frente Amplio maintained its victory in Montevideo, Canelones, San José, Paysandú, and Salto.
The ruling party won in the remaining 14 departments of the country.
