According to the program, the activities will begin with the welcome at the House of Memory to the representatives of the groups and then there will be a tour of emblematic places in the city, capital of the Los Ríos Region.

Marisol Molina, leader of the southern zone of the Solidarity Movement, recalled that it was decided that the venue of the event would be the city of Valdivia at the XXVII meeting held in 2022 in the city of La Serena, Coquimbo region, to strengthen solidarity with Cuba in that area.

“It is very symbolic to host this important meeting, because Valdivia was the first city in this country to receive a medical brigade after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, on the occasion of the earthquake that destroyed the city in 1960,” she said.

Molina also mentioned that the meeting will be held at the Mexico School, which was donated by that country after the violent 9.5 magnitude earthquake, considered the largest in history.
