To remember this actor of Italian cinema, the cinema 23 and 12, located in Vedado, Havana in the same direction, and with the support of the Cinemateca de Cuba, was organized an evening with a retrospective of his career.
Mastroianni (1924-1996) marked the history of the cinema of his country, playing leading roles for many of the leading Italian directors in a career that spanned 147 films between 1939 and 1996, being worthy of numerous international awards, including two BAFTA awards (British Academy), two awards for Best Actor at the Venice and Cannes festivals, two Golden Globes and three Oscar nominations.
Mastroianni was also awarded the Order of Merit by the Italian Republic.
