The British intelligence work, under the cover of its Embassy in Moscow, was discovered during a counterintelligence operation. Accordingly, Russian authorities proceeded to revoke Pryor’s accreditation and ordered him to leave Russia within two weeks, the FSB stated in its note.
Pryor, who was the second secretary at the British Embassy here, had come to Russia to replace one of the six British spies expelled in August.
According to the information, the FSB detected signals that led to uncover Pryor intelligence and subversive work, which threatened Russian national security.
The FSB has vowed to continue protecting the country from subversive activities and espionage by foreign intelligence agencies by all available means.
