Israel’s bombs keep falling on Lebanon despite ceasefire bids

Beirut, Nov 26 (Prensa Latina) Israel continued bombarding Beirut and other Lebanese localities Tuesday, running counter to current efforts to stop the aggression and materialize a ceasefire agreement.

The Lebanese Public Health Ministry reported one killed and 10 wounded in an initial balance of the Israeli air attack over the Noueiry area of Beirut.

According to the pan-Arab Al Mayadeen channel, the air strikes this day targeted areas from Ghobeiry to Al-Haddat, including Haret Hreik, being the heaviest and most extensive since the beginning of the escalation.

In the east two were reportedly killed under the Israeli raid on Beit Salibi farm, west of Baalbek.

Health authorities said that air strikes in Srifa and Bazuriyah in the southern district of Tyre injured seven citizens.

Al-Akhbar national newspaper reported that the Israeli army issued a warning to evacuate Naqoura after launching a series of aerial attacks throughout the day.

Field sources linked these threats to Israel’s intention to destroy as many neighborhoods in the border town as possible before a potential ceasefire is accorded, after failing to enter Naqoura despite encircling it from the Alma Al-Shaab and Tair Harfa directions.

The Lebanese cabinet summoned the ministers to a meeting tomorrow at the Grand Serail (Government Palace) to discuss the current developments under Israeli hostility.
