Venezuela willing to advance in constructive agenda with Uruguay

Caracas, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Government on Monday voiced its willingness to advance a constructive agenda of respect, dialogue, communication, and South American Union with Uruguay's President-elect Yamandu Orsi.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry sent Orsi and his Vice-President, Carolina Cosse, “its best wishes in this new stage for Uruguay.”

The text also paid tribute to the militancy of the Broad Front (Frente Amplio-FA), which “won over this country’s neoliberal right wing.

The text reiterated the congratulations of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on behalf of his people and government, for the runoff held on Sunday, in which the FA won with 49.84 percent, according to the official results.

Maduro wished Orsi “the greatest success” in a post on his Telegram channel this Sunday.

A big Bolivarian hug to the FA and our Uruguayan brothers,” he also wrote.

The FA electoral formula, Yamandu Orsi-Carolina Cosse, won the elections on Sunday with 1,196,798 votes, while their rivals from the government coalition, Alvaro Delgado and Valeria Ripoll, received 1,101,296 votes.
