President of Parlatino calls to admit diversities and grow together

Phnom Penh, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) The president of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino), Rolando Gonzalez, said here today, that the possibility of achieving the announced goals and expand cooperation "is to admit our diversities and be able to grow together respecting them.

Gonzalez made the statement while addressing the 11th Plenary Session of the International Congress Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP), which for two days was held in this capital with the attendance of leaders and delegates from 58 national legislatures and international organizations.

The defense and consolidation of multilateralism, adherence to the United Nations Charter and international law, and cooperation and partnership for coexistence and inclusive connectivity are essential today, stressed the head of Parlatino.

I come from far away, from the opposite side of the planet, where in 2014 the presidents and heads of government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) agreed on the proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace, he said.
