The OSC is the highest governing body that approves the organization’s programmatic activities, including operational performance, budget, and management.
A press release highlighted among the achievements of the OSC in these two years the establishment and consolidation of the Secretariat, the successful implementation of the Great South Information System that democratizes access and production of knowledge, which provides more than 500 thousand digital resources to universities and research centers in our Member States.
Likewise, the OSC Institute strengthens the national and institutional capacities of its members, and more than 17 countries benefit from its programs.
The Framework for Strengthening Exchanges between Youth and Regions through Education, which facilitates South-South student and academic mobility, is another of the initiatives launched during the mentioned period, with a total of 400 postgraduate scholarships in Brazil, the statement added.
The OSC, created on January 29th, 2020 in Djibouti, is formed by 28 States from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, civil society organizations, and global and regional bodies.
