The hosts are tied at the top of Group D with the United States, both with two wins and one loss, while Bahamas and Puerto Rico are 1-2.
The Cubans win 76-62 over the Bahamas, while the Puerto Ricans lost to the Americans 66-108.
It will be the first bilateral match this year between the two teams, traditional rivals in the Caribbean area, and what happens in the Ciudad Deportiva may prove key in the fight for one of the two tickets in contention for the 2025 Americup.
The game also represents Cuba’s farewell to its fans, as the remaining matches will be played as visitors in February next year in the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.
