Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stressed the importance Beijing attaches to its relations with Montevideo, calling it a significant strategic partner in Latin America.

Mao also voiced willingness to work with the new Uruguayan government to enhance mutual political trust, expand cooperation in several fields, and consolidate coordination in international and regional affairs.

The spokesperson underscored that both countries share a commitment to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership to generate mutual benefits and contribute to the two nations’ welfare.
