The government media office in Gaza said the latest fatality was Wael Ibrahim Abu Qafa, a professor at the Islamic University’s Department of Journalism and Media.
In the strongest terms, the agency condemned the attacks and killings of the Palestinian communicators and held the government of Benjamin Netanyahu responsible for these crimes.
The attacks against the sector aim to silence any other narrative that might challenge the Israeli version, expressed Shorouk Al-Asaad, a member of the general secretariat of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate.
In declarations to the daily Al Quds, Al-Asaad, also a reporter of Radio Monte Carlo International, pointed out that the aim is to intimidate journalists.
Referring to the same issue, writer and analyst Suleiman Bsharat stressed that any threat that exposes the falsehood of the Israeli narrative becomes a direct target.
