The Palestinian news agency WAFA criticized “the genocidal war and the policy of suffocating siege and famine in the north,” which has led to a massive exodus of the population and massive destruction. Over 44,000 Palestinians, mostly children, women and elderly, have been killed.
The news agency reported that the epicenters of the new phase of the war campaign are the cities of Gaza and Beit Lahia, as well as the Jabalia refugee camp.
In the last few hours at least six members of the medical staff of the Kamal Adwan hospital in Beit Lahia were wounded during Israeli shelling, WAFA noted.
The attack also resulted in the destruction of the center’s main electrical generator and the drilling of water tanks, he added.
In recent days, the hospital’s director, Hossam Abu Safiya, repeatedly warned of the crisis at the facility and in Gaza’s northern region in general.
Palestinian authorities estimate that more than 2,000 people have been killed and another 6,000 injured since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in the north, launched in October.
For more than a month, the work of the Civil Defense there has been suspended due to military raids and the lack of vehicles fuel.
