Go Electra vessel arrives in Venezuela to explore infrastructure

Caracas, Nov 23 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's Executive Vice President and Minister for Petroleum, Delcy Rodriguez, reportedly announced the arrival of vessel Go Electra to carry out the exploration of underwater infrastructure in the Dragon Field.

“We have taken a new step to continue showing Venezuela as a natural gas exporting country,” the Vice President wrote last night in her account on Telegram social media.

The arrival of this vessel to Venezuelan jurisdictional waters “will help accelerate the production conditions of this important project”, developed jointly with the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Shell company.

Rodriguez emphasized that thanks to the strategic approach of President Nicolas Maduro, the Bolivarian Republic “continues to take firm steps in the objective of taking full advantage of all the potential of its gas belt.”

She explained that all this combining the sovereign use of our resources with foreign investment of a productive nature.

“We continue on the road towards Venezuela as a gas exporting country,” she emphasized.

The executive considered the gas agreement signed between Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago on September 20 last year as an extraordinary and historic step.

This document will serve to promote joint projects in the gas hydrocarbons sector and was signed in the presence of both countries’ authorities.

President Nicolas Maduro stated that this agreement is to work on projects, in the Dragon field in Venezuelan waters, to start producing gas and to go out together to sell it around the world.

The leader considered it as a message of peace, complementation, solidarity and sovereignty, exercised and shared, “it is something extraordinary,” he emphasized.
