The two heads of their respective diplomacy signed a package of documents concerning bilateral relations after a joint meeting of the board of diplomatic departments of both countries in the Belarussian city of Brest.
In addition, in the declaration on combatting sanctions, both Slavic nations characterize unilateral coercive measures as illegal and assess the means to counteract them, mitigate and compensate for their negative effects.
Among other documents, they agreed on a plan for interdepartmental consultations for the coming year, and approved a statement on the common Russian-Belarussian vision of the “Eurasian Charter on Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century.”
