Granma’s Friday edition highlights the issue’s significance for recovery, referencing a presentation from the nation’s regular television news program.
The report notes that resolutions 328 and 329 of the Ministry of Finance and Prices provide customs duties subsidies for imports of raw materials, inputs, and intermediate goods needed for productive processes.
This exemption seeks a special focus on food production and agriculture, as published in the regular issue number 112 of the Official Gazette of the Republic.
On the subject, the Cuban Minister of Finance and Prices, Vladimir Regueiro Ale, explained that the content of these rules seeks to lighten, and in some cases exempt, state and non-state economic stockholders from paying commercial tariffs.
He highlighted that these measures would decrease import costs, facilitate partnerships for reviving production lines, and positively influence prices through increased supply, especially for food.
