Vietnam recommends its citizens not to travel to Ukraine

Hanoi, Nov 21 (Prensa Latina) The Vietnamese Foreign Ministry today advised its nationals against traveling to Ukraine due to the escalating conflict with Russia, exacerbated by the U.S. authorization of long-range missile use.

At a press conference, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Pham Thu Hang urged Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine to prepare safety plans, including evacuation from major cities and avoiding high-risk areas. She also recommended staying updated on local alerts and information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and maintaining contact with community associations and the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine.

The conflict intensified after The New York Times reported that U.S. President Joe Biden had authorized Ukraine to strike Russia with U.S. long-range Atacms missiles. In response, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that such actions would be seen as NATO members entering the conflict, leading to a devastating response.
