PM Modi optimistic on India-Caricom Summit outcome for ties

New Delhi, Nov 21 (Prensa Latina) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the outcomes of the Second India-Caribbean Community (Caricom) Summit in Guyana will enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

He emphasized that the India-Caricom Commission and the Joint Working Groups will be crucial for implementing these decisions. Modi also proposed holding the third bilateral summit in India to promote further positive collaboration.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the relationship between India and the Caribbean nations is rooted in shared experiences, needs, and aspirations, expressing his country’s commitment to elevate these ties to a new level.

He noted that India’s initiatives are aligned with the concerns and priorities of the Global South, underscoring the path his country has taken during its presidency of the Group of 20 (G20) in 2023 and the ongoing efforts under Brazil’s leadership this year.

Modi expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between India and Caribbean nations in advocating reforming global institutions to expose the realities of today’s world and society.
