At around 13:30 local time on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial attack from the area of Al-Tanef, occupied by U.S. forces in eastern Syria, the Defense Ministry announced in a statement.

It added that the bombing also caused extensive material damage to the targeted buildings and their surroundings.

Palmyra, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980, was twice occupied by Daesh group terrorists, then liberated by the Syrian army with the support of Russian Forces in 2016.

Tel Aviv intensified its military actions against targets in the Syrian territory, by totaling more than 130 attacks in almost a year and resulting in at least 120 deaths and great material damage.

The most recent attack was perpetrated last Thursday against the capital’s residential neighborhood of Mezzeh and the suburb of Qudseya near Damascus, killing 19 people and injuring 16 others, mostly women and children.

While on Wednesday 13th of this month, the Israeli army destroyed three bridges and several roads in the Syrian municipality of Qusair, bordering Lebanon.

Through repeated communiqués, the Syrian government urged to unite its efforts to stop the war crimes and genocide committed by Israel against the states and peoples of the region.
