According to what the director of internationalization of Udelas, Luis Torres, explained to Prensa Latina, this is the seventh edition of the forum with the participation of embassies accredited in the isthmus, among which the one of the largest of the Antilles stands out.
Torres added that, thanks to Havana in specialties such as sports, agriculture, education, medicine, among others, links are also fostered with the Ministry of Higher Education and its main Universities throughout the Caribbean country in those and other areas.
He also praised the presence here of advisors who contribute to the promotion of careers, since Cuba is a reference in several branches of science.
Regarding this new offer, Torres also praised the presence of other diplomatic missions such as those of Canada, Spain, the European Union, the United States, Israel, Turkey, Japan, Brazil, India and China, among others.
The Udelas fair, she indicated, is also supported by academic institutions in the country and other entities such as the Ibero-American University Foundation and the National Secretariat of Science and Technology.
For her part, professor Milagros Bañas, from Udelas, underlined the opportunities offered by specialties such as food and nutritional security.
Bañas indicated that joint projects with organizations such as FAO and Unicef are growing; in addition to higher education centers in Cuba, Canada, Spain, Guatemala and Honduras.
