I thanked the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for its support for projects with a socioeconomic impact in Cuba, the foreign minister wrote in a message on X.

The statement came after a meeting here on Wednesday with Omar Hassan Shehadeh, envoy of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, which Rodriguez described as a “beneficial reencounter.”

“I reiterated my willingness to continue to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas,” the head of Cuban diplomacy noted.

Last May, Hassan Shehadeh visited Havana, where he met with Cuban authorities, in addition to visiting the business group in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector BioCubaFarma, the Fidel Castro Center and the National Capitol, among other places.
