On the same social network, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez ratified Cuba’s support for the people and Government of Nicaragua, “in these intense days of recovery and care for the victims.”
Nicaragua reported at least two deaths, 5,000 victims and more than 1,000 homes flooded due to the overflow of 25 rivers.
The tropical storm also caused severe damage in Honduras, Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala and El Salvador, before weakening in southern Mexico.
