Cuba expresses its solidarity in the face of the damage caused by Tropical Storm Sara in that nation, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez wrote on his X profile. They have all our support for the recovery efforts and care for the victims, the message added.

After hitting Honduras, Sara touched Belizean soil on Sunday, where it weakened until it became a tropical depression.

On that territory, in a preliminary manner, the Macal River burst its banks and landslides were reported on the eastern slopes of the Mayan Mountain Range, in the central area of the country.

According to recent reports, the tropical depression is advancing through the Yucatan Peninsula after passing through Central America, where it has so far left two dead and more than 100,000 victims, mainly in Honduras, Belize and Guatemala.
