Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian stressed that the stance on Ukraine is constant and clear.
He emphasized that achieving an early ceasefire and seeking a political solution is in the best interests of all parties. “The priority is to cool down the situation quickly, and China has consistently encouraged and supported all efforts to solve the crisis peacefully,” he said.
The diplomat also reiterated that China takes a prudent and responsible approach to exporting military products and denies supplying lethal weapons to the parties involved in the conflict.
The Foreign Ministry responded to accusations by European Union intelligence agencies of alleged cooperation with Russia in the production of military drones.
Lin affirmed that the country strictly regulates military and dual-use drones following the law.
Finally, he urged the nations and individuals involved not to make unfounded speculations or defamations against China and targeted the lack of evidence in such accusations.
